That last story reminded me of a guy I knew at a job I used to work at back in the 90s. This guy was a head chef at a cafeteria in the headquarters of this company. He was a stuck up POS who thought he knew anything and everything about businesses and making money. He decided to invest in buying some houses at tax sale real cheap, put the minimal amount of work in them and rent them out. The tenants would complain about conditions in the houses and he would do little to no repairs. Finally one couple complained about the water heater, electric wiring and other issues and told him they refused to pay him anymore rent until he had all the repairs caught up. He bragged to the baker and another cook in the kitchen how he decided to force them out by taking the doors off the house. He thought he was so smart doing that especially bypassing the courts. Until he gets a call from someone in a local city housing department. They told him that he was being fined $500.00 for taking the doors off the house and for each hour that those doors were not put back in he would receive another $500.00 fine. He had to beg off from work to go re-install the doors but because of his stupid stunt all his rental properties got inspected by city code enforcement and had to make thousands of dollars in repairs or face more fines and possibly have to pay for tenants in two of his houses to stay in a hotel until they were brought up to code. He ended up selling his rental houses and proved that he sucked as a landlord and businessman.

Story 3: Honestly, I hope that landlord stays in there for a while, because everyone is better off without someone who steals and breaks into houses

Story 2: Not only were their racist butts lying about the Asian couple so much and wasting people's time, but even doubled down once confronted and they learn that the manager was also an immigrant.

I doubt they'll ever learn, with a mentality like that, it'll be a matter of time before another eviction happens

Story 2: racists will be so blatantly racist and not see how bad it is. I work at a Walgreens and one time we had a lady call who was mad cause she couldn’t pick up her prescription at our store. She said and I quote “they told me have to go to another store and I don’t want to go to that store cause there too many minorities over there and I’m white” (remember she called so she said this shit just assuming I’m white I am but still) she said she wanted to speak to our manager about it, the manager on shift was black so I go “yup sure I’ll get him for ya” out her on hold and ran to my manager and told him verbatim what she said he goes “no way?!” He goes into the stockroom to take the call I go back to work. After I go back to check on him and ask how it went he said “she repeated every world she told you. When I said “well mam I’m black” she hung up right away”

Racist eviction: the only thing that would have made the story better was if they played the recordings of the complaints that were called in. Go through the reports, have them say that the racial comments were false, then after, go over the reports again, and play the recording where the slurs are said and note the discrepancy between their denial of saying the slurs, and the slurs being heard in the recording. If it's a meeting where they sign an agreement that their "testimonies" would be truthful, then they'd have committed perjury as well. Even without it, their lies would show that they are wildly dishonest without any shame. They'd have to know at that point that they're screwed, and that continuing to be racist would only make things worse for them.

The racist couple story: I had apartment neighbors like that. They hated me because their kid would ring the buzzer for a full minute which is so loud it sends me into a panic attack. When I confronted them? They told people (Everyone, not just their kid) to ring *MY* buzzer instead. They would argue until 4-5AM and throw things and keep everyone awake, but called the office on me for making noise and existing in my space.

They were evicted a year and a half ago for falsifying complaints against not just me, but three other of our 6 neighbor building.
