I tease mom and say she's gonna start calling me a "nothingist" I keep finding things to declutter. Also I keep a box on my desk and as I come across things I destash them.

The strength it must have taken to do this 😅 I don’t know that I could ever do this! But proud that you did! ❤

I don't put stickers in my planner but I do sticker collages as a way to relax, so I have a big sticker collection. If I buy a bundle and get a sheet I don't like, I've been using them for Mercari packaging or just throwing them into the package as a freebie. A wake up call was when I took my sticker binder out of my luggage when I was packing because it was too heavy and put it over the airline's weight limit

I’m definitely on the use your stuff train. I’ve also have been on a kick of drawing and making my own stickers. It saves me money and I will have things I will actually use 😅

Hi Sam! This year, I am also on a huge destash -- in 2023, I destashed clothes, shoes, purses and accessories. My first goal this year is to destash planners, notebooks, and stickers. It feels really good. I wanted to tell you that I started an excel/word spreadsheet on my desktop and every time I get rid of something, I write it down. It is awesome! So... I got rid of four lined notebooks - no big deal, but writing that down was peaceful. I got the idea for the spreadsheet from "Simple Happy Zen" on youtube. I like her quiet, non-judgement way of sharing her ideas. In that respect, she reminds me of you! By doing this spreadsheet, I returned a 2024 hobonichi weeks because I realized I've purchased it multiple times before and I know in a couple of months, when the shiny wears off, I will regret buying it. That's also worked with some placemats, a wallet, and a few other things. Anyway, wishing you a happy new year! Lisa

I somehow accumulated a fair amount of those types of stickers and quickly realized I don’t like using them😂. I didn’t think o could make my money back so I decided to use them to mark workouts in the Weeks monthly section. It’s a bizarre mishmash (I’ll use a mailbox sticker for lower body workout😂 and a cupcake for yoga) of icons- but it works for me and I feel like they’re being put to work (honestly the Weeks boxes are so small for me anyways).

Take a picture of everything you destash from your home. Put them in an album so at the end of the year you can look back on (& count).

You really need a sticker release paper book. The Travelers Notebook now has a passport and standard size books as part of their permanent collection of inserts

Our house was destroyed in a forest fire 5 years ago. Immediate declutter! We are starting over and it is amazing how fast I can collect things. Some I need and a lot I don’t. Especially in the planner/craft area. So if I am not using it after 6 months to a year I get rid of it. There are many things I miss and can’t replace. I have learned what is really important. If I love it I keep it, otherwise I let it go.

I'm new to the planner community and I already feel how easy it is to get caught up with new releases of specialty washi/stickers etc. I got myself a little book with sticker release paper and just told myself I need to use my stash and be intentional about what I purchase moving forward... the cost and clutter add up and can get overwhelming.

What helps me to get rid of something I no longer need is thinking about how much someone else is going to be so excited to receive it. That reframing has done wonders for helping me let go of excess easier.

I am totally into using my stash up and have been doing a great job of it so being said....I want your Pumpkin Paper Co stickers so badly!! I miss her shop so much! I am definitely doing a no/low buy this year, so a few things might get purchased, but now much at all. I am aiming at replacing when I run out of current stickers/washis etc. Thank you for being my inspiration 🥰

I’m with you, I have to declutter little by little I just can’t spend the whole day cleaning out one closet at a time. Thank you for the motivation I really need to declutter my stickers.

We are working on a "home-declutter" purge ourselves🙂 thanks for sharing some specific, crafting areas to destash as well. Very inspirational!;)

I’ve been using my stash for the last year! The only purchase I made was the Simply Gilded Halloween haul. My stash has dwindled to two SG albums! 🎉 I put all the stickers I want to horde in my five-year journal so I can enjoy them for years to come!
In 2024 I’m working on my notebook stash. That needs work.

I’ve been doing this as well. First declutter gets rid of the stuff that I have no idea why I’ve been storing.
I do have a “just in case” box that I revisit to see if I’m ready to part with those items. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes! This is so inspiring! I need to start my stationary decluttering journey 🎉

I am in fact declutterring, or doing my best trying to! I’ve got to get off the sugar. But it’s hard work! But I’ve got to try. You’re a real inspiration to do something good! Keep it up friend🎉

I just went from 12 drawers full of washi down to 9 (it's those 3-drawer acrylic organizers; I eliminated one entire organizer). I still have a lot, but eliminating one 3-drawer acrylic organizer lightens the load. I have so many stickers. I'm not sure I want to go through the process of trying to sell them, so I may just donate them to get them out of my house.
