Action Cams Garmin vs GoPro

This month, both Garmin and GoPro are out with new action cams and aviation is a target market. In this video, Aviation Consumer's Paul Bertorelli gives the cameras a wring out.

I am surprised that you didn't mention that the 360 fly is used to create 360 degree videos, which on youtube are quite amazing, if only lacking a bit in video quality right now.

The Lightdow series of cameras on Amazon work great. That's what I use when flying. Only about $50 for 1080p at 30 fps. But no external audio in for an intercom connection.

An interesting addition to this review coul dbe the integrated sensors in those cameras. The provide add-ons in the videos that add a lot of information for the viewer (speed, altitude, heading, temperatude, G....)

I thought part of the point of these 360 cameras is to give people YouTube videos that they can pan around as the video plays.

The Garmin provides remote control software for Android, Apple and Windows Phone (a small but still in the game player).  The GoPro only Android/Apple.
