As you level up it takes more XP but you also get more shards, from level 4-5 it may be a tiny bit of xp but like 75 shards, it just depends on level.

Not exactly bhvr does a super fun and super cool thing with iri shards where the lower levels don’t really give as much. I don’t know the exact number but it’s gonna take like 100 more games at minimum.

Ive only been play DBD for 3 months now, and Ive only gotten the really cheap cosmetics. The daily log-in rewards have helped a lot.

It's takes a long time. They slightly balance it a bit with checkin and weekly rewards, event stuff sometimes too, but it does start to drag with how slowly you accumulate them. Also with no alternative way to gain auric cells besides flat out buying them, that certainly doesn't help
