I bought my GT4 in 2021 and have get this... 60K miles on it and it runs just fine, and oil usage is the same. I opted for PDK as I have a fully modified manual E30 that I've had since new in 1989. I have the Clubsport Softronic ECU Tune which allows you to flash tune the car without sending your ECU. It also integrates the valve control into your original controls. I also swapped out the OAP's and the sound is way better and as loud as you really should need it to be. I don't plan to sell my car, so I'm not concerned about the miles. I do my own oil changes and just recently did my brakes and serpentine belt. I love everything about this car still.

Welcome back! I've missed your down to earth content, respect for running your GT4 as a daily and not being afraid of the mileage and taking it to the Swiss Alps.

So good to see a GT4 actually being used properly. FairPlay. Wheel colour and decals finish it off perfectly 👌

Great cars. The PDK is a great gearbox, maybe the best of its type, but I would always go for a manual in a GT4 when the gear change is that good.

Great video. Love the Cargraphic valve controller, made a huge difference on mine as well!

I’ve only recently found your channel but wish I’d found it sooner to follow a long with your ownership of this car. Your content is great. Keep it up!

Great little run though. So good to hear you still get through MOT with the OAPs fitted. Sounds so good now!

Interesting video especially the part about the car being MOT compliant after the exhaust mods. It would have been nice to know the cost of the exhaust mods.
The car looks and sounds amazing.

I love everything about your car. The color, the seat, the transmission and most importantly it’s driven.

I’ve always preferred darker rims but you are right the silver rims really do make it pop love the decals as well, good job!

Don’t usually like the decals but defiantly think it works on yours. 👍

I am at 36K miles on my 718 PDK GT4 PCCB equipped car (also GT Sliver)

Mods are ....

MCS 2-way dampers, front motorsport camber plates, rear toe link, Kline Inconel Exhaust, APEX VRS-5 wheels, and Yoko AD09 tires.

Car is MUCH better than the stock set-up. I plan to keep mine for 100K miles

Useful and fair video! I own 718 Spyder and your note on drone noise was very important - seems like I also need OPF to be removed))

I used to own a 987 cayman S & loved the notchy manual gearbox. For the GT4 I opted for pdk, no regrets, great on track. I'm on just over 5000 miles & have topped up 500ml of oil.

The carbon buckets are honestly very comfortable. Only hard part is getting in and out of them.

Great video as always and nice to see long form content from you! I might have missed it, did you mention what your daily car is because the GT4 is now a weekend car?

Regarding the valves, if you press the oem PSE button on the dashboard, won't that keep the valves open all the time? And did you get any Check engine light or warning due to the OPF being removed?

Have you considered the RS Style carbon intake for GT4 from GOLD LEAF performance?

Hi, did you have a Porsche warranty on the car, if so how did removing the OAPs affect that ?

Also, did you need to remap the ECU once the OAP's were removed ?

PS: I bought your old valve controller and still loving it !
