Scorpio N shoudl have been taken too! On a cheaper side, XL6/ertiga could also have been taken in my POV. A great 1 hr vid! Watched it straight and it was a delight to watch!

After watching this video I am happy and convinced on the decision I made to buy Kia carens. For me comfort and mileage were my first priority and I can confirm that Kia carens satisfied me in both these aspects. I switched from Skoda to Kia last year and I am completely happy for choosing Kia Carens.

Below are some of the benefits/advantages I have experienced from Kia Carens in my last 1 year usage. I have drove exactly 25, 000 km in 1 year 2 months.

1. Good space. Easily can accommodate 5 adults and 3 kids
2. Very comfortable ride
3. Excellence mileage. I get 16 in the city and more than 20 on highways
4. Very good AC
5. Good after sales service. 100x better compared to Skoda
6. Good boot space compared to other 7 seaters
7. Good headlights. Very powerful and definitely better than my previous car
8. Good brakes. Had experienced few times.
9. Parking assistance with sensors.
10. Sunroof which my kid enjoys the most
11. Cruise control which is extremely useful on highways
12. Decent music system. Initially not very impressed but now adopted to it and enjoying
13. Better ingress and egress
14. Ventilated seat which is really useful in this hot summer
15. One of the best diesel engines in the market now. Same smoothness as petrol engine.Haven’t experienced any difficulties with full load. Have done long drives on hills with 6 adults, 2 kids and full luggage for 5 days vacation. It was very comfortable and never faced any issues in terms of power.

Downside.

1. Bad suspension.
2. Body roll
3. Not very useful wireless charging
4. No wireless carplay or Android auto
5. Not impressive build quality. Even my 6 yr old kid is able to open the door easily whereas in my skoda even adults used to struggle to open as it was too heavy
6. No 360 degree camera

This is 'THE Best Video' on YouTube for 7-seater buyer target audience. Exceptional presentation, everything is on point. Thanks a lot. Probably first time I felt that a 1-hour is not too long. I can imagine the original video footage would've been at least 10-11 hours, kudos to the editor too :)

Don't know about the present day cars. But the OG Innova is in a different league. My father bought it in 2011, uses it daily and has an odometer reading of 3.25 lakhs.
Still no body rattles, no engine issues. Even now use it for long road trips without any issue, and might be controversial with the craze for features, it has the necessary features needed.
Really a great product, something my father is still not willing to part.

Background- own a hycross and had booked (now cancelled) XUV700 as well

My $ 0.02:

1. XUV700- while diesel is the most pragmatic option, but with an impeding migration towards cleaner fuel, seems a risky proposition- petrol while a hoot to drive is definitely not pocket friendly given the single digit mileage. Plus, still a bit hesitant in putting 30 lacs on a mahindra. Last, but not the least, space is still on the lower side especially in the boot given that it’s a 7 seater

Safari- fit and finish issues, no petrol and cumbersome to drive

Hycross- compromise on finish, quality of plastics for sure- but in return what we get is fantastic and usable space, quiet cabin, better fuel economy, rock solid Toyota reliability and a peaceful 15 years stint with no prospective emission related issues- and that’s what TODAY’s UPPER MIDDLE CLASS WANTS! hence chose the hycross and loving every bit of it!

All round Practicality triumphs drivability for a 40 year old me 😄

Brilliant comparison but you should have included Hector Plus. I do have the Alcazar 2.0 petrol auto though not meant for enthusiastic people it does it’s job. I do agree with squeaky noises here and there but features are on par and is comfortable for city rides.

For reliability and long term - Innova
For VFM - Carens
For sheer power - XUV700
For presence - Safari

Every time I hear Shirish speaking, it’s a joy! It’s like a song sung blue! Another amazing content, and it’s great to see that the Mahindras remain unbeatable

XUV700 IRVM, AMBIENT LIGHTINGS, SEAT VENTILATION only things i see missing out those would have made xuv700 best in the segment

great video by Evo india just loved it, I would totally agree with the verdict made by sirish sir , if choosing between the carens and alcazar carens would be a better pick and between the 700 and the safari it depends upon the whether you need more features or better engines and comfort and the hycross in the Vx (o) variant is the best buy for those looking for a proper 8 seater .

Excellent comparison. I think Kia has made the Carens an excellent car. Value for money, loaded with features and spacious. Hycross is desirable but way too expensive. Might get a Carnival at Hycross price

A 7 seater should be able to accommodate 7 people comfortably. XUV700, Safari and Alcazar have cramped 3rd rows in terms of leg room and thigh support. Hycross has enough leg room in the 3rd-row but thigh support is less. Thigh support in the 3rd row is best in the Carens and its 3rd row leg room is adequate too. As an affordable, proper 7-seater for adults, Carens wins the competition.

Safari looks beautiful and symmetric among them and also has superb road presence (looks like an Anaconda coming on us fro front).
It's the overall more practical car.

XUV 700 it is for me...

That's cz of the features and apoeal it price at a sweet piece. It actually introduced ADAS in the mainstream market and beats competition in its segment
