Is It Safe to Go to the Beach?

Studies show that beach sand is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria.

Odd how nobody seems to recall all the radiation dumping into the ocean from japans leaking reactor.  In Canada - an elderly scientists in a wheel chair.. reported what he found with his assistant..  he found large stretches of beach to be radioactive. Later he was intimidated by a few large men. I have not been able to find his page.
