Well that statement actually aged pretty well. Playing Diablo immortal for me felt like I was playing a watered down version of Diablo 3 where you have to drop a few bucks on every single rift. Fire up D3, unequip all your legendaries, and put 5 dollars through a shredder when you open a rift and you're basically playing Diablo immortal.

PoE is literally one of the best F2P models I've even seen. I usually refuse to pay money for F2P games, but I actually forked out cash for stuff in PoE because I believe the devs actually deserved it.

It’s cheaper and a better experience for a mobile player to buy a gaming PC + Diablo 3 then to play Diablo Immortal.

D3 Immortal is a great example of "ooh shiny" marketing. I played till level 6 and was like "the only reason to put up with this kind of gameplay is the story, and while it seems different form regular D3, it also just...felt the same.

What makes me sad, is that people will spend real $$ to be strong in it. Mobile gamers are far too easy to take advantage of...

Frankly, I can't understand why people even want to try Diablo Immortal. It's basically a worse D3. I'm not a d3 hater to be clear, I actually love the game, but Diablo Immortal looks like a cheap, shitty paint job that you have to pay exorbitant amounts of money for if you don't want to suuuufffer.
