Emphasing the need for policy towards wealth redistribution, Mr. Pitroda elaborated on the concept of inheritance tax prevailing in the U.S. "In America, there is an inheritance tax. If one has $100 million worth of wealth and when he dies he can only transfer probably 45% to his children, 55% is grabbed by the government. That's an interesting law. It says you in your generation, made wealth and you are leaving now, you must leave your wealth for the public, not all of it, half of it, which to me sounds fair," Mr. Pitroda said.

Sam Pitroda does not live in the US, and here is what the US laws say about inheritance tax: "The federal government doesn't have an inheritance tax. As of 2023, six states impose an inheritance tax: Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. " Even in these states, people can avoid paying taxes because of several loopholes. So, Sam, you are 100% lying and know nothing about US tax laws.

India is not the US; India should do what is good for India. Wealth redistribution is totally a bad idea; it will ruin India.
