Rule #1. Never ever buy a car that had anything to do with New Jersey! In fact, dont ever go to New Jersey

Honestly, the price isn't far off for a branded title fixer, but clearly this is another shady dealer lying to a customer.

"The CARfax said something about a floor or something, it's a glitch or mistake." LOL typical car salesman.

Flood cars from Houston were and are all over craigslist and offerup as clean title. I saw a corvette that was obviously in the flood listed as "never seen rain or water".

The Jeep at 3:22 is fine. Should have been able to drive through that.
Also, never buy a truck from a guy that works in an AC/DC t-shirt.

I'd totally buy that truck. Of course far below market value because research is key.

I have no problem with people fixing up and selling flood damaged cars but they need to be branded as such. How you can get a salvage vehicle's title re-branded as clean when you can electronically look up the records is beyond negligence on the part of the EVERY state DMV in the country! Why doesn't the DMV access this information before issuing a new title!?

Lol all these people have no clue what salt water does to engines. Salt water is very corrosive to metal and if it sits inside an engine it wears away at the engine which causes multiple problems. It may still run but not for long.

Happens all the time. I lived in Florida in the early 90's and my best friend bought a used car from the largest Chevrolet dealership in Florida and months later when he was having electrical problems he took it the Chevy dealership, he didn't like their repair estimate and took it to a mechanic who examined the car and pointed out the rust and other signs the car had been flooded from a Hurricane the year before he bought it. Long story short, after getting an attorney involved the dealership worked out a trade on another car. It took some time, but it was worth it plus he and several other people who bought hurricane damaged cars picketed the dealership everyday and that helped too.

3:30 . . . WOW!! What a waste. These cars SHOULD BE branded as "Flood Damaged", but available for rebuild. Seats and carpets pulled out, floor and other inner metal flushed with clean water, New seats, carpets, affected electronics replaced, change the oil and transmission fluid, and you have a perfectly good vehicle for a bargain price. I will agree with submerged electronics and seats, carpets etc. being a write off, but the body, frame, suspension etc. remains in perfect condition after a few days submersion in sea water, vs, the catastrophic damage road salt does after five years of winter driving to cars from places like Syracuse, Buffalo and Toronto. Maybe all of these should be off the road with rotten floors, hollowed-out frames, disintegrating brake and fuel lines, etc.

I worked for a company here in Sweden 1999-2000, we imported a few cars from USA that had been in a flood. I took them apart, fixed what could be fixed the rest I throw in the gabage and order new parts from USA. It was alot of work but it was a fun job

The same happened with me, in Brazil... An insurance company named Mapfre, gave "total loss" to my mother's 2000 Toyota Corolla. But I finded out that the car is running, in another state, right here in Brazil....

2 years ago I looked at a car and I could tell the carpeting was brand new. I looked underneath the seats to where they are attached to the floor by screws and there was standing water. Very easy to spot.
