Wishlist Lumbermill on Steam here!

It's been a busy week on development of my Unity Game, Lumbermill! I've added a new machine, made changes to how employees work, and added progress bars to the user interface to pave the way for the next big feature...

The music was created for the game by me - currently experimenting with different styles, but I like this one!

Thinking of creating a discord for the game, so let me know if you're interested!

Videos will be uploaded every Friday as development progresses so make sure to subscribe.

Alchemiser. Also, I think having some sort of text like “+$100” or something pop up whenever a chunk of tree goes into the machine would be really satisfying and provide clear visual feedback so you know that the Alchemiser is doing it’s thing.

Hi, really like amberizer. Would you consider to add different biomes like mountain, lake or a specific forrest? I like your videos very much, good job!

I like the name "alchemiser".... however, I'm not sure it really fits your game. You have a lumbermill setting, with items, objects, etc. themed around it - so you have lumberjacks, and logs trundling along your conveyors. What does an alchemiser have to do with any of that? I think it would make more sense to go with something that seems logical for a lumbermill? Perhaps "market", or "delivery"? Something that makes sense with the theming of your game.

Great video! I think alchemiser fits fine.


Really liking the "void" look of the outskirts of the forest, thinking it looks better than a Civ style Fog of war but there might be a better approach that's more thematic to the game... Maybe something like what you currently have but instead of solid black it's just a black semi-transparent overlay where you can still see what is in the plot of the lands that the player can purchase to allow the player to purchase plots more strategically than randomly.


Looking really great though so far, keep it up :)!

How is the alchemizer/amberizer supposed to work? What _is_ amber-the-currency, anyways? Is it like amber-the-gemstone? These are questions you should ask before naming the A-izer.

Really wish you went more in-depth with the conveyers and buildings. I need code to steal. I am a noob and finally got good conveyors... but then had to delete it because it only soported conveyors.

I'm kind of late and I dont know if you already added this but maybe make some buildings locked until you place another one or a reaserching system

you should make another thing you can sell maybe syrup you can collect from trees and also amberiser.

For the new machine, you can afd a kind of mask and an orange texture that will get higher as we reach the maximum number of money(?) to give us a visual if it's doing right or not.

In my opinion, it would look better if there were fences on the edges of the map too

Alchemiser sounds good but it sounds too much like Alchemy, and people have a different expectation of what Alchemy is. Menus look good!
