Yeah, also think it’s a watch maker spot... I’ve no question; however, I’m a doc cinematographer, shooting narrative recreations within stories where there is a desire and some time to light. So I really value your smaller setup tutorials and hope you continue to find time to produce these. Thanks for the hard work.

I love the opening piano scene. Did you add those extra lights or are they part of the location?

Also, how do you manage to have all those lights and still maintain some detail on the shadow side of the camera?

For the shot of the gentleman that stayed late at work (0:15), how did you go about exposing that shot?

Did you expose to the right then bring down the shot later in post for better noise performance? Or is what we’re seeing close to what you saw on the monitor on the day?

Can you talk about the camera bicycle rig you show at the end? How do you approach those kinds of rigs?

Would love to know if you had a sound designer record on set or design afterwards or if the sound was just added in post from an audio library or similar? Looks epic! Love the grainy/gritty real world feel to it too.

Very nice! My question is, like others, for more details on pre-production and how much time was spent planning things before the shoot? For me, it’s usually the most important stage and time well spent here actually saves time, and money, later and helps avoid rushed concessions that in the end take away from the original idea. Granted, such time is not always achievable in the commercial world but I’d be interested to know more. Cheers

Nice, but one thing put me off:
the sound of the piano close up scene doesn't match. The player is reaching down (lowest octave) while the tone goes up.

Loved it! To add to the other questions, how did you do the skaing effect as the cyclist rides by: is it keyframing+sound design in post or did you shake the camera?
