Side note: Kansai-ben is pretty broad and regions in Kansai have their specific dialects even in Kansai-ben 🙂‍↕️

I mean, I thought about this for a second, and it's really not that different between record being "information" and record being "writing something down"

Kansai ben is by far the most cool and fun Japanese dialect/accent.

My japanese teacher says, the context more important when you have conversations. For example When you eat with your japanese friends and then you ask to help take the chopstick (箸), will they thinking to take the bridge (橋) ?

"Unless you're speaking to someone who got really unfortunate in the brain cell department, they'll usually understand what you mean." This is gold. lol

In my experience, (10 years in Japan), nothing matters more than your skin color. Don't waste your time learning a language spoken by people who will always see you as an outsider

Can't you just get the meaning out of context ? I have words in Romanian that read and write exactly the same but have different meanings that you have to get out of context. We don't have kanjis nor pitch accent, so context must do.

I am leaning Japanese now and I am deaf to pitch accent, ai can't hear it nor reproduce it.

That's just fucking Kansai being Kansai. Just being different for the sake of being different
