These common sense laws and regulations need to be created in the US

It's also applied to government institutions who collect digital data from their citizens, but EU will probably never enforce fines to countries.

So you can ask does not mean it will be honored. Sound like something that was created by the companies it pertains to. There are only fines and that may be lite depending on the people or persons involved. There's got to be something else in this doc that assure all of a persons personal data is deleted that is collected and there are no hidden copies of their information somewhere under the control of that company or third parties. Also, the continuation of collecting data on that person who request a data wipe of their collected data, what about requesting them to stop collecting data on you so no new request will have to be requested to delete more data collected by that company.

I wonder if a person's request may cause more of their personal information to be collected in future collections because the request causes that entity to be more interested in them as a target; I guess it depends on the information collected. Does the request do nothing but pinpoint a person, singling them out, making it easier to just collect more about them. I also wonder if they, companies, who do this will be honest about the collection and actual provide all of the information or will they just lie and state they got nothing and just hide that persons ability to see their own information. Depending on the person whose data is collected they may be willing to pay the fine and lie about that person's data being in their control. It is more profitable for them to have the data than not in that case and should have more come down on them for that data on that person that company deems a fountain of wealth by having their data. If the person requesting can not see the information collected on them they will think it is deleted and not bother requesting or pursuing more actions. There are a lot of ways to make this seem as if it is a feasible solution but if that is all that is of this legislation or document then there are many holes in the limp protection. They created this and will they hire or create a branch in government that will enforce it outside of influences in the hiring and ability to do the job. I think not because it sounds as if the companies made this themselves to make them seem as if they are honest and honor customers privacy when they do the smallest or least cost efforts in protecting data.
