I'm actually going to take my prerequisites this fall! I'm 23 years old and just now figuring out what i want to do. My wife is supporting me all the way and I have a 1 1/2 year old son, so it's going to be a challenge but I have gone out of my way to purchase used textbooks on dental hygiene and am working my way through them already! I know there aren't a ton of male dental hygienists, but that's not going to stop me!

I just hope that Dental Hygiene doesn’t change it where you need a Bachelors degree like Nursing has changed that’s why I think I will eventually go and get my Bachelors just for right now I’m going to focus on getting into the Dental Hygiene Program and get my Associates

Hey Whitney, I have been practicing as an RDH since 1997. I love it, but every once in a while I feel burnt out. On the upside watching your videos inspires me quite often. Thank you for your awesome video content. You rock girl !!!

Just started watching your videos! I already have my bachelors in business finance and plan to now get my associates in dental hygiene. I guess I am doing it a little backwards! Glad I saw this video and now know that my degree won’t entirely go to waste

I believe associates will be my best route to take because I have dyslexia and I think I would be happy with what I can do! I’m ready to get out of the factory.. I’m ready to be a professional! I love you videos! Thank you for helping me explore this career!

Also a Bacc in Dental Hygiene works as a PreDental School Program if you might want to go on and become a Dentist. Just make sure you upgrade you science classes to the level of PreDental/Medical if they offer a simpler one for Hygiene Students.

Cool im a bio major too! It’s interesting that there’s a bachelors in dental hygiene. I guess that’s a route that pre-dental students could take before dental school, they’d just have to take dental school pre-reqs as electives

I went to school 5 years ago and received a Bachelors degree in Communications with a minor in Biology. After college I went right to work and realized I wasn't happy in my field. Not to mention I had zero work life balance. I recently decided to go back to school at a community college that offers an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. I have to retake some of the prerequisites but my goal is to apply for the Dental Hygiene program. This video helped me be more at ease with getting my associates degree vs a bachelors!

This video has been so very helpful. Your energy really gets me up and happy in the pandemic. I love dentistry and before you I had trouble finding YouTube channels that give me the types of videos that I want like just explaining stuff for education and videos in the dental office. But I found you! And I’m am so grateful that I found you! You’re amazing! This video has helped me so much, you have no idea. You’ve really impacted my life. I don’t know what I would do without you! This has really helped! Your videos are so amazing and so are you! I love you and your videos so so much. Happyteeth! ✌🏻❤️🦷

Excellent video. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology. I think an Associates degree would be cheaper for me however I do like the idea of double majoring.

Hi thanks for the explanation. I do still have a question. What is the difference between attending a private, public, for profit, non-profit college for dental hygiene. Will the degree be perceived the same?

Hi there! I'm new to your channel. I came across it because I've been looking into becoming a hygentist. I've heard multiple times that it can be hard on your body overtime but to take care of yourself. If possible could you make a video on any tips you have for that or let me know if you already have a video on that? I couldn't find one.
Love this channel btw so helpful!
