Everything GREAT About Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2!

Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, while having a pretty good Rotten Tomatoes score, still had a mixed reception. So let's put that to silliness to rest. Here's everything right with GOTG2.

This shows the different perspectives of Yondu and Ego right there. Yondu sees himself in others, while Ego wants to force everything to be like him. It's someone who lives for and within the universe versus one who just wants to control it, a feeling person versus a utilitarian who just uses people. Quite powerful, and only just noticed it.

Chris Pratt's acting in Yondu's death scene is incredible. The desperation, sadness, and love he emotes when he yells "Nooo!" is fucking gut-wrenching..

i feel that the groot repeatedly bringing the wrong thing instead of the fin montage perfectly sets up the button misunderstanding that happens later on

8:58 Just my Opinion, but I always felt like she chose this moment to finaly speak up against Ego and warn the Guardians is because in this moment, she felt, for the first time, what a parent loosing a child SHOULD feel. She witnessed Egos Emotions for so many years and through so many times that he killed offsprings and he probably NEVER felt as much as 0, 0001% of the grief that Drax is feeling here. Imo that's why she decided to help them

8:48 is such an underrated line by Drax. To me he's clearly referring to himself. He knows he's ugly, and he knows his wife loved him, so he knows that she loved him for who he is.

The reason why Baby Groot doesn't have any of the original Groot's memories is because they are not the same being, Baby Groot is the "spawn" of Groot.

8:54 I think there was another reason Mantis wanted to tell Drax about Ego. She has seen Ego killing his children for a very long time, but when she feels the overwhelming sadness in Drax when he talks about his deceased daughter, Mantis understands how Ego is supposed to feel when losing a child and thus how evil he must be for not feeling anything at all.

I think the way Yondu says “because you’re _me_ “ gets me choked up every time because the whole monologue his tone has been somewhat condescending, sarcastic, and harsh, but the way his voice immediately softens when he says ‘me’ pulls at my heart— he isn’t attacking rocket, but they both know the only way to get closer to each other is to be brash and cold to show you’re not gonna be pushed around by the other (as rocket pushes away venerability at any cost) followed by some way of saying “I’m not going to hurt you, I know you’re already in pain.”
