To employees just use your judgement. I got injured at work years ago. It was my first job during school. I worked at Victorias Secret and I was opening boxes of clothes to get them ready to put on the racks. I ended up cutting my finger accidentally on the box cutter.

I cleaned it up and got the bleeding under control. I put a glove on so I didn’t get any blood on anything. After my shift I drove to the ER to have it checked out. It wasn’t bad I just needed a few stitches. When asked what happened I just said I got cut at home making food.

My personal insurance covered it no questions asked. Everything healed and life went on as usual.

Great video, thank you! I have a question. My husband is a self-contractor and sometimes I help him out and do work for him that may take 4-5 hours. He does not pay me and he does not have any other employees. Is he still required to get Worker’s Comp Insurance?
