Without Toonami, anime in the U.S. would not be where it is today.
Happy Anniversary, Toonami!

There's nothing I love more than Steve Blum's voice each time Toonami shows

I don't know why this gets me in the feels. I grew up watching Tom though. Here's to another 25.

Hearing Tom’s voice is very calming, anime watching on Toonami was like watching with a friend and you both understood only talk on the commercials or when it was coming to an end. Real good times.

Toonami is one of the most important and influential television programs ever created in terms of animation and particularly Japanese anime.

Without Toonami, anime would probably never have become so popular and beloved outside of Japan.

"I got a barrel full of caution in each hand"

That is a surprisingly good line. Steve Blume just makes it better, being Wolverine and all

Honestly, Tom needs his own show. I wanna learn the lore, his origins, the world he lives in, why he talks about anime and young adult-adult content .

Toonami introduced me to such a diverse range of shows that weren't available to experience on any other channel, and I'll seriously be forever grateful for that.

As a 29 year old, this is great. I feel insanely old typing that out. Bring back the old fans with the nostalgia but build a new fan base. I dont think its a bad move.

I can't believe that Toonami has finally come back after all these years. I'm in my early 30s and Toonami finally came back to us after 14 years.

Toonami is the reason I went into IT and followed what I wanted to do with my life. Thank you for 25 years of amazing memories/anime and meeting at conventions!

I was like 7 when Tom died the first time and I cried...I thought that was the end of toonami and I was devastated. Cheers to 25 years and the best host/protagonist Tom!

This brings tears to my eyes. So much nostalgia flowing from this. As a kid born in 92, this was my life. Glued to the TV, morning to night watching so many awesome shows. Thirty year old me is absolutely excited for Toonami to return into my life.

I watched this on Saturday and I was losing my mind. I grew up with Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Gundam, Gundam Wing 00, G Gundam, Pokemon, Tenchi Muyo, Yu Yu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, Rurouni Kenshin, Ronin Warriors, Zoids, and other amazing shows I remember watching as a kid in the 1990s and around 2000. This was back when Power Rangers was going on. The first generation of Power Rangers. There was also Digimon happening. Toonami and these anime such as the big four I mentioned (Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Gundam, and Pokemon) are what truly brought anime to the U.S. and led to a massive surge and popularity. Dragon Ball is probably still my favorite anime today, even though it has lots of inconsistencies. This is before the Narutards existed. Unfortunately, the Narutards began to appear around 2006-2008 years when I was in high school. When Naruto came along, Toonami died. Then you had that silly Bobobo bobobobo bobobobbo anime show that was absurd. I will never forget the first time I watched Trunks transform into a Super Saiyan against Frieza. I was eating a bowl of ramen noodles. I would come from school, and sit down and watch Toonami from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Cartoons are definitely not as a good as what was happening in the 1980s, 1990s, and around 2000. Since then, I have now worked at Pixar as an intern back in Summer 2019, and I finally found a job for now at a game company. I am working remotely. I work as an animator.

I’ll never get tired of hearing Steve Blum’s voice, it has so much variety from Sub-zero to Green lantern to Tom the one in a million childhood “cool guy” robot.

Happy 25th Birthday, Toonami! I first started watching around when TOM I was the host (though, I do have vague feelings I may have seen some of Toonami when Moltar was the host). This special does lightly touch on some of the existential angst I've always felt about TOM being killed and rebuilt so many times. It feels nostalgic seeing TOM II and the Absolution Mk. I again. Looking forward to what happens next!

From March 17, 1997 to the September 2008 cancellation to a revival in 2012, and now in March 17, 2022. Cheers 🥂 to 25 more years to come, Toonami. And congratulations! 🎊🎉👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I've been watching this broadcast when I was 13 yrs old in 2007. Now I'm 27, watching in 2022. Time really does fly.

Getting off the school bus to watch CN. This is where my love for anime/manga began. Picked up Jump weekly during grade school. Man 20 years later... who knew this would be such a dope ride
