I'm 33, this was my childhood/teenage years. The nostalgia is just too much for me. A different time, a different vibe. I cherish those memories. Peace to all watching this

"No one's gonna give you a map you gotta walk your own path."

Wise words.

The memories man. This feels like a well deserved nostalgia high. Crazy, cornerstones of the program right there.

The real question is those of us that seen this as children and are now in our late 20s or early 30s. Did you follow your dreams and achieved what you want out of life so far? Have you walked your own path or one someone chose for you or just one of convenience.

People talk about this as a piece of nostalgia a lot, but honestly, especially with Outlaw Star, it often feels more relevant the older you get. There's never a time where you should give up on following dreams after a setback or a victory for fear. Gene spends that whole series searching for the Galactic Lei Line like a dog chasing a car, and once he catches it he has to confront what it is he actually desires. The chase made him live, but the catch was the hard part. Sometimes you catch things in life and desires and dreams fall to the wayside, only for you to have to find new desires and dreams. You stop aging when you can find them again, and nostalgia is no longer important.

For me, these always made each show feel connected in some way that made watching it live an experience, rather than just "catching" a show.

31 and rewatching this as motivation to get through first semester finals for law school. This promo still hits after 22 years. Hope you're all still creating your own destiny.

These vibes are GONE. The GOLDEN era. I'm so glad I grew up on this and not streaming.

I’m 37. I’ve commented on this video twice already and I’ll do it again. I listen to this once a day at least. This is something that kids and young adults will NEVER experience or have again. This was for us. It was ours and I will never underappreciated or forget everything Toonami was for me. And I know there’s not a single person who comments on this that doesn’t feel the same way

Toonami was never just some time slot on Cartoon Network; it was a concept and the seed of a movement. I simply would not be who I am in life today without Toonami. I owe more to it than words can express. Thank you — for birthing an entire generation. Those of us left have shared memories of a past which we can bond over forever.

Outlaw Star was a banger, and so is the music playing

As a kid in the early 2000s I would always stay up late in every Saturday night and watch toonami with me and my sister and to this day I still watch toonami because it's apart of my childhood since I was 7 years old and this got me into anime

I feel like part of myself is still the child watching this all those years ago. Still yearning for that greater purpose.

As a kid I had the illusion that every adult had a map on how to live life. As an adult and being 33, that map does not exist. There are people my age or even younger who have their life figured out. Working in their career, having a home, started a family. Im still trying to find myself.

I did it. I'm 35 now and I made it to the place I was supposed to go, became the man I needed to be. I didn't know where things were going as a boy but now it all seems so clear. Reflect on yourself often; only you can tame the fear and depravity in your own heart. One decision leads to the next; have faith in yourself. Everyone gets what they want the most.

Dear lord, 25th anniversary...thanks for the good years. They've gone by too quickly, but I'm glad I can share these times with Toonami and everyone here!
