😱 What if You Visit Whiterun's Jarl as Ulfric's Messenger For The First Time in Skyrim? #skyrim

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you visited the Jarl of Whiterun for the first time as Ulfric's messenger? I decided to check it out. After escaping the dragon, I headed straight to Windhelm, joined the Stormcloaks, and waited for the moment when Ulfric entrusted me with the task of delivering his axe to Whiterun. Then, I journeyed to Whiterun, and here's what happened.

In this scenario, the Dragonborn just ignores an imminent and immediate dragon threat to fight in a war they just learned about

Now i really want to know if he will give back the axe later or if it will spare whiterun from the war

After storming dragonsreach as a stormcloak:
Balgruuf: And you? A stormcloak? I thought better of you, you will all come to regret this day.
Me: Dude, I literally came up to you as Ulfric's messanger before all this.

He didn't show that you have do bleak falls barrow and the western watchtower and then you get the special dialogue of his response to the axe

It's actually really funny that he asks the Stormcloak messenger to take care of an issue for him and still says no to Ulfric. At least if you do this as an Imperial, it feels like he joins the Empire because you helped him.

I almost did this with my current role playing character (playing as a nord who jist came home to see it taken over by the elves and was wrongfully arrested). Naturally, I went to join the Stormcloaks after escaping Helga and Rolof's encouragement. I was up to either the message quest or the quest before that when i remember that je moves after the Whiterun battle and didnt want to travel much (since, except the carrage, I use no fast travel) jist to get the first part of the quest finished. Guess i hesistated for nothing. Ce La Vie

From a game perspective, I get it okay? I really do. Killing the first dragon is what opens up the rest of the world state, dragons flying everywhere able to fly in at a moments notice and interrupt your adventures.

But from a realistic or narrative perspective... Balgruuf is an idiot for this.
Ulfric just declared to you he is outside your front door, on your lawn, ready to take your city, and your response to that is,
"It can wait?"
Nah Balgruuf, you deserve to have your city taken from you at that point.

I did the letter from tulius first and was planning this for another playthrough but couldn’t stomach through another gameplay 💀

The first miscellaneous quest you can get is join the storm Cloaks so it’s possible
