Cable should have come back in an end credits scene looking for his time travel device and asking what he missed. Would have been perfect.

Ryan did his best. And I don't see where cable would fit in. It was more focused on getting Pool and Logan in the MCU. Maybe cable could be in another Deadpool movie or his own movie which has Deadpool in it.

I would've been okay if cable showed up in the beginning with all his friends celebrating Wade's birthday then say something like "sorry i have to go do a task but ill be back" then comes back either towards the end of the film or end credit scenes saying "what i missed?" Cable, Russell, and Domino really should've been there.

If I remember correctly, Ryan stated that DP&W wasn't DP 3 but more like a fun, side movie that he wants to make with Hugh and pays respect to Fox's legacy. It make sense that the plot with Cable will continue with DP3 as to not overshadow Josh among all the legacy characters and vice versa

I can see why Cable didn't play a major role, but he could have been at the parties at the beginning and end of the movie.

At first I wanted to see cable but after watching the whole movie, this character is not missed at all and Ryan made a great work on DP3, congratulations to the team, , I really enjoyed it

To be honest a separate Cable movie would Kick ass, he’s a great stand alone character in the comics

There was NO ONE from the MCU

Everyone was prior Fox distributed Marvel characters
That was that was the entire Johnny storm joke…he wanted captain america but got Johnny storm..:same actor but one was from Fox the other was in the MCU

The movie was about bringing Fox into the MCU

DP and Wolverine had more cameos than Endgame with half the budget. Nicholas Cage was supposed to come back as Ghost Rider. There was talk of Jon Bernthal as well but there's only so much movie and money allotted. That's why Vin Jones didn't come back as Juggernaut.

I mean the idea of not having actor overlap is kinda laughable considering this same movie had Jackman playing like 19 different Wolverines, and Chris Evans showing up as Johnny Storm again. But in the context of the story, I think fitting Cable in would've been tough. That said, he almost seems a cert for Secret Wars.

Robert Downey Jr as Dr Doom is just one example. Remember, they had Johnny Storm in this movie. That pretty much negates the idea that it's because Josh Brolin played a major role before in MCU.
