What if F1 had a full grid race with 20 cars at the Nordschleife? Spoiler alert; It's absolute chaos!

I decided to take Sergio Perez his 2023 Red Bull F1 car. Did I do well to avoid all the crashes? 😂

The Ferrari F2004 and the Renault R25 with slick tyres are absolutely one of the FASTEST F1 cars ever! These cars are about 4 seconds faster than the 2023 pole lap from Perez in Jeddah! The Ferrari F2004 would destroy the whole grid during the 2023 Saudi Arabian GP!

The Ferrari F2004 with slicks is also the fastest car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife! it's way faster than the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo! It laps the Nordschleife under 5 minutes!

The Renault R25 is a little bit behind the Ferrari F2004, but it's still one of the fastest cars to ever lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife!

I think the cornering speed in this sim is a bit too optimistic.
But the driving is not actually the reason why the Nordschleife is not fit to be a F1 track. Today the fans expect that every inch of the track is observed by TV cameras, and on a 24 km track that is too expensive. Also for spectators at the track its a bit boring, if cars only come along every 7 minutes, and only 12 or so times during the race. Who wants to pay 500 € for that?

I remember watching my first ever but also last F1 race at the Nordschleife in 1976 with 24 Cars and 14 Laps total.

/test lap with modern F1 car (2020-2022 spec).

It’s ridiculous how they can go absolutely flatout on some very challenging corners. Though I was expecting a higher top speed on main straight. 360+km/h.

I'm pretty sure they would all consistently spin out every other corner if they even tried to push the car. All those bumps would render the ground effect of the Venturi tunnels useless and pretty much translate in close to 0 grip. Without even considering this part: 1:11, they'd all be flying in the wall on the right.

I'd say if there were less cars, this would definitely be possible. Love the straights and the tightness sorta reminds of Monaco with all that wheel to wheel action at the start.

There would absolute carnage in the middle of the pack by the time they got to Quiddelbacher Hohe and half the of the field would be out before the end of lap 1.
