Over the last 18 months or so, there have been several new Ham HTs offered by several sellers. Some have been really good, and others, not so much. In this video we’ll take a look at what I believe are several new radios you should consider for your holiday shopping list – or just your “I gotta have something new” list.
These radios will cover a wide price range so you’ll likely find something that’s up your alley.

The Wouxun UV9PX from BetterSafeRadio is the best mid level priced 2m/70cm handheld there is in my opinion. Even if it is a little older.

I love the Yaesu FT-65 for an entry level radio and its just over $100.

I would say the ID 50 is a better bang for buck unless you really need Bluetooth and color screen.

Great video, but I would have included RETEVIS radios, as they are in the budget price range but excellent in quality.

Will you be doing an in depth introduction and DSTAR setup for the Kenwood TH-D75A. The one you did for the ID50A was brilliant. I have one coming in the mail, and fear I'll be struggling and or miss allot. Thx K0WOZ

I BOUGHT THE BAOFENG UV-5RM PLUS; ONLY PROBLEM FOR ME IS THE FACT THAT THE MENU SHOWS UP IN A dark red with a dark blue background and to ME, very difficult to read. I have asked around if this can be changed so that the menu can more easily be read, so far no one knows. I’m considering returning the radio back to the sender, any comments or suggestions on the menu concern?
