Im in total agreement as I am currently remodeling my kitchen. A kitchen remodel should add functionality and improvements that you never had...and thats drawers for me. Its not just about new cabinets to update your kitchen.

Totally agree with you on drawers! I really don’t understand why people have to open a door just to pull out a drawer. Just make them be real drawers. Getting ideas on YouTube for building my own cabinets.

I have been noticing how much stuff is never used and how much stuff is just going bad while sitting in the depths of cabinets. I also have been noticing how much it affects the mood so I'm not really in the mood for cooking when my most needed utensils are in the back of that cabinet. I am also doing drawers for exactly the same reasons you did. I was ALWAYS sitting on the floor with I when trying to get a pot out of the back of cabinet!

Am in the process of building a new home. This video really struck home. I'm retired and a wheelchair is a possibility in the near future. Sitting on the floor to get to the back of a shelf is just not something I see myself doing. All drawers is a great idea.

I'm handicapped and fighting with my building to accommodate my needing pull out drawers in the bottom cabinets. My kitchen is very small and I sit to prep and cook. The cabinets that are here, already, are good. I will be going down to the office on Monday to see what they intend to do.
