The fact that he's almost matched the market and STILL has that much cash available to deploy for periods that don't look as rosy such as the decades of the 30's 60s 70's speaks volumes.

With a stock like Tesla it doesn't seem to me that Buffet would have to understand it at a very high level to invest in it when the evaluation was better. I expect him to understand it enough
