Your homage to your Dad and Grandpa was beautiful. I know how you feel. My father, my hero, was the last of the Buffalo Soldiers (24th Infantry Regiment). His was one of the first American units on the ground to defend the Pusan Perimeter. They took the fight all the way back up to the Manchurian border, when the Chinese decided to enter the fray en masse. He was wounded by a Chinese grenade before his 19th birthday and wore that half-dollar-sized, shrapnel-infested scar on his cheek for all his days. You'd woulda never known everything he faced and overcame - no one ever did; he was the most humble person I've ever known. He's been "asleep" now for 18 years but not a day goes by that I don't thank him for the example he set and the road he made possible for me. COPD/CHF is a hard road...for everyone; I know first-hand. I'm sure it can go unsaid, so I say it more for myself than anyone - Cherish every precious moment; imbibe yourself in his scent; capture every wrinkle made when he smiles; these will provide such a blissful vignette to the tapestry of love and honor you have for him now...and always. The last words my father ever spoke to me were "You're my good son" (I was his only BTW)....Continue to be the same for yours, as I'm sure you are. This, I'm sure, is pleasing to him. That was an interesting play by Buffet imo. JNJ & PG pick up during recessions, so does this mean he doesn’t think one is coming? Also keeping APPL which is slowing growth and selling AMZN which is expanding was another head scratcher to me. Just not sure what his moves suggest here in terms of market outlook.
