My mother always said, “It doesn’t matter what you wear as long as it is clean, mended and pressed.” She grew up during The Great Depression but she was right.

You are one of the very few creators who mention that culture, countries, and religion play a huge role in this conversation.

I live in the Middle East. Dressing elegantly here is a breeze. The fashion is modest and feminine by default, so I discovered a lot of styles and types of clothing that look amazing and that I wouldn't think to wear somewhere else. Would love a video on elegant fashion "around the world" some day!

I'm not trying to look like I have money, I'm interested in elevating my to look to be more elegant. Thank you, Anna, for all your help!😊

Thank you for broadening the perspective on this topic. Every country, culture, religion has old money. They all look different. We need this information because as you level up your life, you will be traveling more and meeting people who don’t look like you on the outside but share your mindset.

A big difference with wealthy people dressing ‘ plainly’ is that their white button down dress shirt was $500, versus the $35 one I would buy at Kohl’s. Wearing real $180 Tory Burch sandals. Paying $300 for a pair of shorts. They may look plain to us, but the price tag and where they buy their clothes from is a huge clue.

I think there is a difference between high society and wealth. There are many very wealthy people today but that does not necessarily make them high society. Class does not always equate to wealth.

Anna's videos are always interesting, I like this podcast setup that she's been doing lately but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss her "my dear elegant ladies" intro. But she does variation so I'm sure I won't have to wait much longer to hear it.

I love this video. It's so truthful, there really isn't a single style to any socio economic group

I loved this video!! 👏🏼 It’s so true what you said about different cultures and backgrounds… I live in Dubai, where there are hundreds of different nationalities living here… and a lot of millionaires and rich people from different countries.
Some are very bling bling, driving golden lamborghinis, others from head to toe covered in expensive luxury items… and others very casual, but owning massive corporations around the world… it’s so interesting to see all of this in one place… 😉

I have always preferred a sort median between what is considered "old money" and "quiet luxury" simply because I have always felt it suited me best. But I love that you show that it's not the only sign of "wealth" or "elegance". There are so many people out there from around the world who dress differently because they choose to and don't have a uniform that they must adhere to simply because of status. You dress in a way that suits your personality, lifestyle, and body.

They wear whatever they want. Their clothes usually reflect how they function everyday and utility for their favourite activities and pastimes.

I like how some wealthy people don’t fall into the society prison and value their freedom and dress how they want…IT’S CALLED FREEDOM. Old money…new money…are society crap. Having your own personal style is freedom.

My favorite Dolly Parton quote of all time is “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap.” I know she’s joking, but she is absolutely the epitome of being herself and being aware but unapologetic about her actions, feelings, and style. She extends this through her kindness and support of others, as well. While I would never ever dress as she does, I aspire to the class and confidence she exudes.

I have been into quiet luxury my whole life. I think it’s tacky to wear so many labels at one time. And totally agree that elegance doesn’t have just one look. My style is elegant but in my circle of friends, Anna’s style would be too dressy (no disrespect to Anna, I think she is always on point with her style)but what I take away from each episode is how to make it work for me, and I definitely like the behavior videos. Those are always packed with helpful advice.

Well done Anna 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 no one has touched this topic the way that you have done. Thank you for tackling this topic in a diversified way. I really enjoyed this video

I loved how you included the forgotten factors as countries, cultures and religions .. for instance in Arabian gulf countries men still wear their purely white thobes (traditional) so the rich and the poor feel and look equals, no supremacy .. if you’re the owner of the largest holding you will dress like the man who is paid the least in your own firm! And i love that in lur culture.. anyways so no old money hints! Unless you look closely at the watch haha (however most rich men here wear apple watch so again you can’t tell) and it’s for the best

Brilliant video Anna! You’re spot on, elegance lives in all cultures not just what Hollywood presents. One should not be gullible and believe whatever comes out of America is IT!

Loved how you included a range of cultures, didn’t it expect that and it really made me adore you even more so. I wish I had found your channel when I was very young. This is the guidance I needed so badly. Thanks for improving the lives of young women. ❤ you are so elegant and graceful.
