This is what I love about old movie : animatronics. As good as CG is, there's something about cinematronic that CG can't duplicate

To those that ever said this was a “B” movie or crap…the amount of work that goes into these movies is really amazing. The talent and skill to make something like this. Incredible.

I had no idea how complex this animatronic was. I assumed they just used two people's arms with prosthetics for a lot of those shots. I thought the animatronics were mostly for the face. I never questioned for a second if he was real when I saw this as a kid. It totally convinced me.

How did the second set of arms look so convincing by the actor just moving up and down
mind blown repeatedly

Goro legit looks real at 4:37. As if he's a conscious being taking notes from the director.

I love how they do most of the things practical.

С детства люблю Мортал комбат, именно эту часть. Всё это время думал, что Горо компьютерная графика, оказалось целый механизм с электроникой ... Очень кропотливая работа. Респект всем, кто трудился для создания этого фильма ✊🏻👍🏻

My brother Angel took me to watch Mortal Kombat with my best friend at the Cloudio. Great time watching the movie as a child.❤❤️‍🔥

Imagine what they could do with modern 3D printing, wireless controls, AI, and miniaturized actuators. +CGI to iron out the kinks. But no, they went with full CG instead.

If I could go back in time & just watch the entire process of making this film & speak with the stunt guys, production staff & the MK95 cast especially Christopher Lambert, Cary Tagawa, Robin Shou & Trevor Goddard, man what a magical experience that would be.

This is so great before this movie you'd only see these characters when playing the arcade game so on a little pixelated screen and the artwork on the outside of the machine. It's kinda crazy how one's imagination works with whatever it's given and in the early 90's that wasn't much. This is so neat.

And people say "this movie IS bad"
???
Ok so... I dare them to make a work like this.
Not CGI, just a doll, robot, a design work to make Goro. An AWESOME masterpiece!
