Beautiful ending. Saul was the one dimensional comic relief who constantly gets no respect from everyone. They turned him into Jimmy - flesh and blood and he gets respect from the only person that matters. He also wound up having the most honorable ending over Walt, Jesse, Mike and even Kim who won't see jail time.

The moment he broke, was when he found out that Kim put down a statement. Saul didn‘t want to turn himself in, so she turned herself in in a way. Kim must have been so dead inside to do that, so he relieved her by accepting his fate. Furthermore there was also something in that for Saul: He knew that if he would come out after 7 years he would still feel empty, same as Gene, and still be lonely and have nobody to trust. This gangstar world is kind of his world. That is the world he is respected.
In some way he got two birds with one stone: He got back the respect of Kim and gets to live in a world where he is someone.

0:16 is the best shot in the entire show, a perfect visualization of the distance between them, physically and and mentally. Its just perfect, I honestly wish it had been the final shot, just a long hold on there as Kim leaves, leaving saul alone on the other side.
