When I built my PC, I went with an an m.2 for windows, a 2.5" SSD for Linux Mint, and a 2 TBB HDD for game storage, and files that both operating systems use. This is a nice setup, because if anything ever goes wrong with my dual boot setup and I need to wipe a drive and reinstall an operating system, I can, also, it keeps everything separate for redundancy, so if a drive ever fails I can still have a bootable computer and troubleshoot.

I upgraded my PS4 slim with a 2TB SSHD and it’s a massive upgrade from the stock HDD it came with

So, once my game has been loaded (maybe 1 or 2 minutes to wait with HDD instead of 1 second with SSD), will my game perform at same quality? If so (as I think), I'll use SSD just for the operating system, since waiting 1 minute or 1 second is irrelevant if I play for one hour

ssd should really be nomenclatured as SSS Solid State Storage as a drive infers mechanical movement. A stick without any mechanical moving parts.

If you have like 5 to 3 games then get a 1tb ssd
If you play like 20+ games then get a 120/240 or even 500gb and 2 tb hhd

My HD crashed and got an SSHD by accident used from ebay, I really thought I had a SSD as how fast load times are - then come to find out it's a Hybrid of both - when i went to defrag I'm like it said SSHD - so after research here I am and what I've learned.
with SSD drives only lasts 3-5 yrs and expensive, and don't make games play faster, but only load times as fast as the SSHD does, if you play the same game it learns what you do the most, and speeds up like using SSD only ...HD and SSHD can last 10 yrs plus - so buying used like I do, …or using from another computer Etc considered also, would be best than a used SSD.
the SSHD does all the configuring for you, where to place files, configurations etc and without special software or messing with the BIOS which ive screwed up in the past..so to me I'm sold on the SSHD personally - for an All-in-one drive... for extra storage the HD is still better and cheaper as well - or using the SSD for the OS, and using the HD if you like and know how to use...but for a drop in Drive that does the work for you and not a computer wize I'd go for the SSHD aval in 500 1 t and 2 T's, or more maybe, i dunno, for laptop tho, full SSD for low power consumption …IMHO for those on a budget and not a computer wizard - live n learn and research the cons of SSD - in fact NVMe or m.2 is the latest in SSD that plugs into the PCIe and is the future IMHO..still learning on that as well - so yeah, thanks for the vid and comments people share

Oh well, at least the 5 year warranty worked - for me and my 2 years +14 days old 1TB 2.5 FireCuda!
The NEW one's been running for a year now...fingers crossed..'cause it's a HASSLE to change 2.5s in my R4 case!

Hey I am thinking on getting a hard-drive but don't know what is great for my gaming pc. Which would you suggest? Also how would I make it my primary storage pace and transfer all my data on that drive?
