If you’re thinking about getting a Sphinx then do your research. You have to bathe them often, moisturize them, and put on cat safe sunscreen. They’re very playful but also incredibly vocal. They love to snuggle, even when it’s hot. So if you live somewhere where it’s warm, they will still climb under the covers and sleep with you. Also, JFTR they stink. Whatever oil the secrete from their skin smells BAD. Make sure you desensitize them to baths cause you will be doing that a lot. Also, their ears often get terrible wax build up because there’s not really and guard hairs to protect and filter bacteria. They are awesome cats, but you best know what you’re getting into before you buy one. They are notoriously high maintenance.

Fun fact: Surprisingly they are also called the Canadian Sphynx as its origin came from Canada. It was first bred in Toronto, Ontario in 1966.

My roommate/bestie’s aunt couldn’t take care of her elf sphynx so we adopted him. It was how we ended up with a free elf sphynx cat. All it cost us was our love and lots and lots of cuddles throughout the day since we keep our house at 72 degrees Fahrenheit daily.

i have one and the breed is super underrated!
they are the sweetest cats ever and they require little assistance from humans (mostly cause the lack of fur) but they are cuddly and enjoy human interaction, also very good with children.

Me and my wife have a hairless kitty and she is wonderful. Always sleeping under the blankets. She’s really lazy 😂 But very very well behaved and has changed my world as cheesy as it sounds. We love our cat and make sure she is well taken care of as these cats have a little work involved. Her name is penny but we call her babywise. Wonderful animals.
