A recent random encounter with a Chosen fan in her 80s reminded us why “Binge Jesus” is such an important concept. It applies to more than just our show.

The funny thing is that I’m not a TV watcher… so when I found The Chosen (mid season) I decided I would watch one episode a night. That didn’t work out as planned… I watched 3 episodes the first night! Beautifully written, it leaves you wanting more…

Doesn’t Jesus deserve a binge worthy show? YES, HE DOES! And that’s exactly what The Chosen has presented as a gift to our beautiful Savior. I have never loved Jesus more! The Chosen’s presentation of my Savior has made Him more alive in my heart than ever before. When I read my Bible now, Jesus’ deity and humanity bring me to deeper worship of Him as the Son of God and the Son of Man.

I first found The Chosen when covid first hit last year and locked down the world! Through that show God broke down the stronghold of depression in my life. So grateful to God and The Chosen! Blessings!

Dallas, The Chosen and all involved is my church. The church I attended was for families and young people not for older single people. I never fit in. I fit in with The Chosen.

Totally agree, Dallas, in that the word “binge” seems to have a negative association. It’s refreshing actually to see the phrase “Binge Jesus” as part of the common terms associated with The Chosen. It does provoke conversation & fruitful dialogue. Can’t wait until Season Three begins filming!

The Chosen showed me Jesus in a way I’d never seen Him before! His heart and compassion shine through in this portrayal of the Gospel. I now read the scriptures in a new light, and can see the message of love woven through the whole story. The Chosen’s Jesus is the Jesus I always heard of, but never really new until seeing this incredible show.

I have a similar story. I was wearing my “ Binge Jesus” zip up jacket at a Zac Williams drive-in theater concert when a woman came up to me and said” you love The Chosen too?” I said” Oh man, do I, ” and she whipped her jacket open and flashed her “ Come and See, ” t-shirt. The Chosen is engaging on so many levels and The LORD has used it to draw my heart closer to Jesus! Yes, I love to binge watch the show and I now wear a tee shirt with His name on it. God has used it to make me want to worship Him more and to praise and thank Him more. He has used it to make prayers seem more personal and to increase my love of spending time reading and studying His Word. And, God has used the show to encourage me to share the good news about His Son and to ask others how I can pray for them. These are part of what it means to me to "Binge Jesus".
