While porcupine quills are not poisonous, only a doctor or veterinarian should attempt to remove them. Quills have barbs that cannot be seen by the naked eye. These barbs make removal painful and tricky.

Yes that's TOTALLY TRUE as I've seen a civilized dog from a house wanted to "PLAY" as we know dogs & puppy's are very playful. It's very sad that some of the quills went to deep in the face of the fun loving Labrador Retriever & he passed on after the owner RUSHED him to the vet.

I used to live in South Africa and one time I saw these 2 lions attacking 2 porcupines and and they did get them but we tracked them for ages and the meal had some lasting effects causing one of the males to be blinded or at least have a very painful eye and mouth

Ok so story

This story is one that my dad told me

He says that he used to have a dog named misty
So misty was a very aggeesive dog and apparently she killed possums birds cats and badly injured some dogs that tried to mess with her

One day idk how but a porcupine ended up in the yard and misty went HAM
She riped the porcupine IN HALF and killed it

She was then rushed to the vet with like 15 quills on her body but she somehow survived
