NASA and its International Space Station partners held a news conference in Paris on Dec. 18, to discuss the upcoming one-year expedition on the Station.

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly will launch to the ISS in March 2015 to begin a year-long stay aboard the orbiting laboratory -- the longest single space mission ever undertaken by an American. He will be joined by Mikhail Kornienko of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos).

nice video.. a one year mission should be quite a challenge. Look forward to see videos from Mikhail Kornienko and Scott Kelly. I also appreciate the though of Jeremy Hansen about Commercial Space Program. I believe he was referring especially to SpaceX re-usable rocket. I believe that if one technology end up to bring significant change (cost reduction) while showing great reliability, then the whole space industries will be inspired to follow. All we can hope is good success for future missions.

It's great to see how culturally diverse this meeting is without nukes going on and machine guns blasting everywhere! THANK YOU, SPACE! :D
