Early signs of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF)

Professor Ulrich Costabel discusses the signs and symptoms of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a disease which starts with cough and increased dyspnea on exertion. The clinical signs of IPF are bibasilar inspiratory ‘Velcro crackles’, distinctive, Velcro-like crackling sounds that can be detected through a stethoscope.
