How did a younger generation pick this style of dance back up after it had been off the radar since the 70-80’s? Did you guys start watching old videos of this style? Are there dance schools that have kept it alive? Absolutely love watching these vids in part for the nostalgia but also to see how you guys move with the music. Love. It.

Africanism is the JOINT. Those young cats are from my era and I am straight from the 70's and just turned 65! I am proud of "The Sign of The Times".

I really enjoy watching Ghetto Funk. I lock, have been since 1978. Gonna be 60 soon, Lord willing. The younger generation is so much better than we were, back in the day. I'm still learning how to lock, believe it or not. Thank you for the videos. God bless you.

I just love how none of them are attention hogs and they allow one another to shine and showcase their individual unique styles. They must be good friends, their energy shows it.🤗🥰

This is great that this current generation still enjoys old-school music.

That's one of my favorite songs to dance to. Knew I had to watch it when I saw the song. Waiting for you all to get as funky as I was dancing, growing up. Yeah I was that good. I'm nearly 65, and physically disabled now, but I still got the funk.

Guy in letterman jacket has more of a late 80's vibe than 70's

I can't help but cheese while watching you guys dance to the music that I grew up on and still listen to this day. But now I can listen to it and watch you guys get down this like we used to back in the day. Awesome job guys! 💃🏾🕺🏿💃🏾🎶🎶🎶💕

One of my favorite War songs to dance to. It would get people on the dance floor. Miss those days sometimes when my body did what it was told.😏💖

Listen Up! This "style" of dance is all over black America. We don't need classes to learn how to dance. It is a part of our DNA. My parents put on the grandest parties in our community. And let me tell you, I learned from some great dancers

That dude with the orange pants and the leopard print hat. It's just smoother and less frantic, more varied. Everything is better. It flows. It's like everyone else is motivated to match their funky movements to the music, but the music is inside of that one dude, motivating all his movements.
