I miss your old school videos. Breeding shrimp in the tubs was the one that made me subscribe to you and you never finished it, wish you would go back to your roots a bit. Miss your old fish room videos. It’s just not quite the same anymore but you still make great content.

This caught my eye because I have an entire room full of tubs and various tropical plants. Not only did you blow my mind, but I think you may have opened my eyes to an entirely new world to play with!

This is great thanks for this. Interesting to see how the plants grow out of an aquarium.

I’m going to give this a try. I hope you’re going to do some more the breeding/raising fry content soon? Personally it’s my favourite content to watch. Although, I still watch all your content, I just enjoy the breeding and raising fry the best. 🐟🐠😊

Wow thank you so much for showing this. I'm now curious out of all the plants I have which can have their stems or roots under water and the leaves above the water

Really helpful, Nick! I’m doing the same thing with Java fern as we speak. I obviously need to expand!

Great video, this is good for people that don't have the room or are renting, much easier to move around then a tank full of water and a good way to be able to move them around much more easily, cheap way of doing it to.

If you open the container and let some light in, the plants will grow 1000x faster. Light + CO2 = massive growth. Ludwigia will grow a foot or more in about a month after it has new leaves. Open a little at a time.

Using the plants you have now, open the top a little for a few days, then within a week keep the cover off all the time and give it defused light. If your plants are struggling put the lid back on a little. Then new plants can be created within weeks. They don't have to adapt to the air.

Cool! I’ve always wanted to grow plants emersed. I’m going to give this a go - it looks simple enough.

Impressive!
But in 100 days in a tank with good lighting and fertalizer they would easily had grown atleast 3 times more then that. Probably even more

Awesome video. Rhizome plants can definitely grow immersed but do best in water. Obviously you know that. Cool experiment. 👍 Rhizomes just grow much quicker submerged. Those rooted plants really took off.
