Love all the vids about "first time flying took off and landed on their own". My first time flying started off with me breaking my landing gear and losing it, forcing me to hand launch. Of course it nose dove many times. Then after getting it into the air for 30 seconds I crashed it and broke the tail foam before the batteries ran out.

RC flying is such a satisfying hobby. I wanted to do it since I was a kid, but didn't have the money. 25 years later I finally did it and fulfilled a childhood dream. I am so glad I did. It's even better than I pictured it would be. Some advice: Be sure to get a trainer rc plane as your first, have some patience with your progress and go train on a computer beforehand it will save u lots of money/tears 🙃 and help u get better quicker. Have fun!

Id say he is a natural . If that was truly his first time. I remember my firsttime my instructor was standing next to me after handing me the box (way before buddy box)and he just walked away and said youll land it if you want to fly again. I quad bounced it to inverted but thankfully it was built like a tank. A refreshed sig kavalier

off topic, but would the twin 64mm a-10 be a good first edf to start with? I know everyone says get the habu or something but i feel like it would be a waste because i don’t like how it looks and i would only fly it a few times to learn. So is the Twin 64 good?

My first time flying was a horizon hobby a-10 yeah it lasted 15 secs in the air then $600 down the drain in 15 secs. Had fun though then some tears hahaha
