I saw something similar as an ump. Tie game bottom of inning, last at bat for home (time expired - tournament) This head coach preached hustle at all times. After the play the head coach called time, switched and became the 1st base coach and then gave the player an earful. The coach said he was gonna keep giving him an earful every pitch until he got to third as the coach told him that's where he should have been. After a wild pitch got him to second, a sac bunt moved him to third the coach called time again and switched back to the dugout. A deep sac fly tag up and the kid jogged half way from third and walked the rest of the way to plate to score. Coach lost it again on him before he got to the dugout. 😆 Coach had him running sprints foul pole to foul pole after the game. Screaming "I'm gonna get my hustle out of you, one way or another".

I was there, ball didn’t actually reach the fence and the kid was taken out for the rest of the game. Like he didn’t even get to run right there, the coach took him out.
