Repairing the FT Viggen

The Flite Test FT Viggen is a great foamboard EDF, that I like a lot. But over time the wing and the canards got quite soft and needed a repair.
In this video I will show you how I reinforced the wing and the canards with carbon fiber rods and tubes.
In the end a test flight had to show whether the repair was successful...

Carbon fiber rods appear to be a great solution. Your jet is a rocket now! I might head on down to the Hobby Town and order some up for my birds. Informative video Mr. Barvarian! Thanks Buddy!🤠

Nice repair video and paint job. Great edited video.
I have had to stiffen my Viggen.
Whenever I fit carbon spars now I use half hour epoxy as ran into similar problems with the hot glue cooling too quickly.
Then its a real pain.
Happy flying.

This video is very useful. i just built a viggen as a first plane and built in the spars for wings and canards from basswood, as well as using some basswood for landing skids.

Cheers!

How did you manage to record all the drone shots at the end alone?

You should definitely invest in an Adtech 200

Schön. War ein durchgängiger Carbonstab an den Canards nicht möglich? Das wäre meine Wahl gewesen.

Hiervon bin ich begeistert.
Muss man gesehen haben.
