When I first started watching you years ago I wasn’t a hijabi, in fact I wasn’t even Muslim. Fast forward to now I’m a revert and a hijabi and I’m back to watching your videos🥰 I’m so grateful to have you on this platform, the representation as a Black hijabi means so much. I used to be a headscarf babe, but sometime last year, I started practising more coverage, and although I'm still figuring stuff out, I love it so much. Recently, I have had to remind myself that I'm not just 'wearing' the hijab, I'm 'practising' it, and it should be an all-round change, not just in my physical appearance. So, my character, speech, observing my salah, etc, etc.

As a Christian, I know for a fact that getting closer to God is not just sudden most times. And for most Christians what might be difficult might be praying everyday, dressing modest etc but I do agree that it’s a process and I pray I also get there 🥰 Also most of my extended family members are Muslim and they all have different journeys some are hijabis some aren’t and that is okay.

I love this!!! As a Christian who wears her veil/head covering this was truly beautiful! i’m not religious but i’ve come to appreciate modest clothing even in my 20s. it feels very powerful in a culture that zexualises everything from the food we eat to going to the gym. i’ve also found a lot of my modest pieces are a lot more versatile than some of my other clothes so it’s a win-win!

I am someone who is converting and I wore the hijab out in public for the first time yesterday and eeee I was so nervous but I liked wearing it. Also I never liked styling my hair so not having to worry about how my hair looks was so nice.
