VW Golf GTI TCR | RAW POV Mountain Drive INSANE GRIP

I hope you enjoy this completely raw footage with no stabilization on the camera of me chasing sunset in my TCR on my favorite road :) When the Michelin Pilot Sport CUP2 tyres reach operating temperature it feels like a complete cheat code !

Car specs and mods:

Golf GTI TCR 2.0 TSI 213kw (290hp) 7DSG (DQ381)
Tyres: 235/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2

• HG Motorsport Ego-X OPF back valved exhaust system with TÜV approval
• AMA Exhaust OPF Delete (stock catalytic converter still installed)
• Racingline R600 intake + Racingline turbo elbow
• TTRS lower control arm bushings
• GTI Clubsport S wheel hub carriers/knuckes (-2 degrees of negative camber on the front axle)
• Racingline Subframe brace

Other than these modifications, the car is stock when it comes to engine and transmission software, although it definitely feels like it has more power than the quoted HP figures would suggest.

The video works very well! Question, as you may I have tried different VW configuration, would you prefer this over it's S3 Quattro sister/Golf R and the TTS for mountain fun ?

Wanted to go M2 but I might be out paced by the prices, they I am considering back FWD/Hadex cars, but I fear then being not fun enough (well, your GTi looks like it is !)

Really good voideo🤙 but what do you do if there is another car in your lane that is going slow and your in a corner maxing out your tyres grip just by conerring and you have to brake? Or are you abel to se the car before the corner. By the way i just got my drivers licens

Are these racingline paddle shifters? If yes, how do you like them? I heard they dont fit that tight and can wiggle a tiny bit.

More emotion in the exhaust than there is the car, about time to upgrade to a manual. Wouldn't say insane grip either, but that's what upgrading is for!.. But seriously, car sounds great.
