Introducing the Amulet 1x12, a variable power amp that's been outfitted with a 3-way attenuator switch allowing you to toggle between 15 watts, 5 watts or 1 watt of output, making it ideal for gigging, recording, or practicing at bedroom levels.

00:00 - Intro
02:08 - Power Attenuator 15W
02:23 - Power Attenuator 5W
02:38 - Power Attenuator 1W
02:55 - Village Noir
04:10 - 50's Saturator
05:26 - Bedford Avenue

The power amp found in the Amulet uses a single 6L6 tube with switchable power soak to achieve bedroom level 1-watt, studio friendly 5-watt or a more robust 15-watt output for stage use. The overdrive in the Amulet’s “single-ended,” Class-A output stage is rich in even-order harmonics and soaked in natural tube compression. True to the legacy of original Supro combos, the Amulet’s exceptional dynamics, ultra-low noise performance and 3-way power attenuator make it an ideal amplifier for club gigs, studio recording and bedroom practice. Available exclusively at Sweetwater.

I just got one of these and so far it’s mainly great. The Vibrato - Tremelo is not robust enough. At its 10 position, it sounds like what a Fender would be at the noon 🕛 position, although the Fender is more “choppy” don’t get me wrong, the vibrato on the 1x12 Amulet is very musical. I have a Baritone that is going to sound monstrous through this amplifier. I am discovering that in order for this amp to sound at its most musical, the treble knob is incredibly sensitive. I wonder what this amp would sound like like like with a Celestion Ruby 35 - 12 inch AlniCo Speaker. I am going to find out. This amp plays well with pedals and my only wish is that it had a USB output. If you place a good microphone in front of it with or without special effects and then directly into your daw, then you get the best of both worlds. A pure analog class A tube amplifier and some great VST effects. In that realm this amplifier can do anything. Just playing it in the 1 and 5 watt settings is an incredible journey into sounds from a bygone era. And I can play all night long knowing that the police are not on their way! Obviously, the 15 watt setting is the most expressive and has the most touch sensitivity and is the only setting that has that “Wild Unhinged Animal” potential. A true screaming sustaining scorching kind of sound. If one adds the right gain stage to that setting turned all the way up, you would have notes 🎶 that could last forever. One other thing, the Bass needs to be turned all the way up to really hear the low end of this UK 12 inch Celestion Speaker. A bit expensive for a Chinese made Amplifier. They run hot and it might be a good idea to put a 4 inch power fan to suck heat away from the bottom/back of the amplifier. This is a very versatile little amplifier that needs to be miked and then sent through a mixer interface and then it can be recorded. Unless of course you’re in a recording studio, where again this amplifier is in its element. I’ll be making a bunch of videos with my new Amulet 1x12. I chose the 12 because I already have a 15 watt Fender tube amplifier loaded with a Celestion Gold 10 inch driver. I needed the bigger driver with the extended Bass response. I was lucky 🍀and got a mint condition demo model for really discounted price.

Definitely a great sounding app however, it seems to me that there is some slight differences not only in the character of the sound but in the build I thought the one button had a slightly different tube complement not a 606 I want to double check that but I also think after playing the one by 10 version, it seems to have a little more gain on top and maybe it’s the 10 inch speaker but a thicker richer sound to me I know they’re both selections and maybe that doesn’t make sense but the videos certainly seem different and I’ve played the one by 10 and it certainly sounded different. I’m listening in each day but maybe I’m wrong either way we shall see.

Just bought that amp few days ago and frankly, after unboxing, I was very disappointed after playing 1 hour using a vintage strat and a vintage lespaul. I didn't find much good points on that amp : reverb cannot be pushed (short springs), tremolo is messy and the overdrive is not very sweet, clean sound is a bit harsh. I was about to send it back (I have 30 days to decide if keep it or send back). Until I had the idea to try with a different speaker. I swapped the cream back with an Eminence Legend and guess what : that amp is now completely transformed and sounds very sweet. I think the sound is now very very close to that of my old vintage Fender DLR from 1965 that I used to own several years ago. I can't stop playing especially with my strat. I will surely not let it go now ! Great surprise eventually. If you think about buying that amp, do yourself a favour and swap the speaker.

Sounds like a lot of background noise and that is with humbuckers. Maybe you need you ground the plug on wall or power conditioner.

Les jazzeux ça sait pas faire sonner une prise de son saturé ou quoi ? ^^
la saturation sonne vraiment dégueulasse dans cette vidéo.

And I'll bet the earlier 10" version sounds better in live band mix.
