Do you think the passengers on Capt Jessup's plane were aware it's a retirement salute or did they think the plane was on fire?

They went around early! No spoilers deployed, they set TOGA thrust, but they know the airplane will still touch down before flying again, keep low pitch so they don’t hit the rwy with the tail. Well done!
