For that reason, I decided to make a youtube short quickly explaining what we do! Thanks to all the IR docs & staff for my dozens of feeding tubes, power ports, and the various replacements, etc of said devices. I literally couldn't do it without you! 😂

IR stopped my massive GI bleed with tips. Later they treated my liver cancer with chemo needed then the second liver cancer with ablation. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Are there books out there that would help to become an interventional radiologist? If so, could you please recommend me some because I’m trying to become one even though I’m still in high school. Also, what AP classes should I take in high school that would really help me in college to become an interventional radiologist.

I’d be interested to know if you have any input on this from your POV. Our rads are very critical of our MRI image quality. I’ve noticed when I go looking through x-rays (hunting for implants, etc.) that nearly every single one has some ridiculous artifact in it (sometimes in the anatomy, sometimes not) and it seems to pass under the radar. Any reason why different modalities might be held to different standards? Maybe we’re just special and this isn’t a normal thing 🤣
