I really liked your set up about being being excited for the 43 minute track; I completely relate to anticipating a track for much the same reasons.

Funny your review for this album (of which I am quite impressed) arrives as I have been listening to every studio Swans have put out for the past two weeks. Something about them that gives a great feeling--like being in a fight and come out of it with wounds and victory. Some may only hear noise, but there is beauty in this noise and darkness.

I'm constantly in between wanting to dive in their discography and knowing i'm not in the mood and that would ruin the first listen. Though i'll for sure go see them in november when they come to Milan (btw Little mistake in the title you wrote begger instead of beggar)
