Hey thanks for the explanation. I'm interested in the very first knot you tied. Where you loop the thread around your clamp and then pull the other end. We tried doing that today but couldn't so we resorted to doing a triple reef knot by hand. But as our surgeon showed us, its much faster to use the looping around the clamp and pulling. Can you please maybe show in slow-mo how to do it? That'd be great, thanks. I haven't yet found a video that explains that in detail. We're not doctors; we're neuroscientists who do surgery to implant chronic electrodes in animals.

That looks perfect! Excellent explanation. A lot better than most of the surgeons I train with :) Thank you!

This was how my belly was stiched up 3 years ago, was quite amazed at the neat job that was done - I was expecting train tracks!

That ending closure seems so much easier than a lot of other techniques.

Thanks for teaching the running suture. My surgeon left the knot coming out of my wound. I had a temporal artery biopsy . Anyways, now its hurting. I am sure its a running suture. Wound won't close because there is a knot sticking out.

That was just beautiful. At 1st I was skeptical about this technique, but now I know.

Thanks for the video. And for all of you haters, the simulation pad is not real skin and is harder to make it beautiful, so chill! Btw if you are watching this video then you probably are not master surgeons. Rather than hating make your own channel and take time to make educational videos!

I love the way you anchor the suture as well, the instrument tie(s) are best
