BREAKING: Israel launches large-scale military operation in West Bank | LiveNOW from FOX

Israel has launched a large-scale operation in the West Bank, aimed at targeting terrorists, the Israel Defenses (IDF) said Wednesday.

The IDF said it was conducting the operation alongside the Israel Security Agency (ISA) and Israel Border Police.

The Israeli military said it killed at least five armed terrorists amid the operation and took others into custody, as they found weapons, ammunition and military equipment, and dismantled explosives planted under the roads.

The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry claims at least nine people were killed in the operation. The agency does not distinguish between military and civilian casualties.

The fact that there are sources who are likely the "real" civilians in Gaza willing to reveal the whereabouts of the hostage just rescued means they are tired of Hamas holding their own people hostage... It is so sad to see the plight of innocent civilians. Hamas/ISIS/Hezbollah is sacrificing their own people and taking them towards destruction. Why cant they spend all the money they spend on terrorism towards upliftment of their people? All humanitaranian forces should use their influence to bring peace and prosperity to these innocent people who are the silent majority.

Even Avi Melamed, an Israeli spokesman, uses the English language sloppily, incorrectly, and to his detriment. The Hamas operative was most definitely NOT assassinated. Assassinated, in English, means murdered. He was killed, terminated, eliminated, brought to justice, etc., but not assassinated. Killing an enemy operative during war is perfectly legal and acceptable under international law. LEARN ENGLISH!
