Quick note to get rid of "TO GO" silverware that restaurants INSIST on sticking down in your bags even though you ask them NOT TO. I take them to my work and leave them in the break room where they get used. This keeps me from feeling like I'm being wasteful and gets them OUT of my house.

Idea for the utensil sets: add them to your emergency kit/go bag and/or camping supplies.

I think we would love to see this turn into a series of you helping organise and declutter for friends and Family! That would be awesome! ❤️

She is what Cass from clutterbug calls a ladybug. She has clean surfaces and is messy behind the doors. Open bins she can toss and walk away is a great thing for her. She probably doesn't mind digging to look for what she needs in a bin. But doesn't want to take the time to put it in a detailed place. Also, clear containers are excellent for her. She is an out of site out of mind person. My husband is a ladybug, so I have experience.

Thank you Courtney, for allowing Christine to do this, & to put it on her YouTube channel. There's so many of us that can relate.
And Christine, you're an awesome friend💗

I laughed at the end when you said you didn't gasp. lol you were practically gasping with her scentsy wax. lol all in good fun! You did a great job and it was interesting to hear her say she was surprised how it has helped her out.

Just a quick life hack: when cleaning out crumbs from your drawers, if you use the hose on your vacuum to clean them out first, you don’t end up having to scrub the little bits out of the corner like you had in the first drawer. 😊

I donated tons of plastic forks etc from restaurants to our hot meal charity. They often give folks items to take home and use the spare plasticware for them. Also many of us would take restaurant plastic ware to work where we filled a large drawer. Saved work on not having to buy as much supplies. Fun project! Feel free to stop by house any time! ❤

So sad to see the plastic utensils get thrown away. I have a basket in a closet for donations and when it gets full I donate the contents on day when I’m running errands anyway. Those are great for taking to work and letting people use them that need them. Great video! I’m sure your friend will love it 😍

I think it is great that you asked her about items instead of making the decisions for her. This kind of thing can be very anxiety producing for some people, and while others may not understand the cause of the anxiety (and maybe have never experiencedit themselves), feeling heard and reducing the anxiety is so important. Her sense of relief at the end, over the state of her kitchen, was palpable. Thank you for sharing ideas!

Can I just say I appreciate seeing other families also throw random crap on top of the cabinets where mom can't see?! Everytime I actually get up there to dust, I'm surprised by all the junk my family has basically "thrown away" up there!

Courtney, hats off to you! 5 kids plus a business and a house is such a lot, I hope you don't forget to take care of yourself! 💐💐💐

Just to add a different POV, I would hate spice risers. I found the perfect solution for me: a shallow shelf that hangs on the wall in the kitchen. It is just deep enough for 2 spice bottles and wide enough on top for my larger Sam's club size spices. I have a system and always put them back in the same spot. It is the one area of my life where I am organized! The only problem is when my husband puts them away 🤦‍♀️

By the end of the video, I was thinking you two could be sisters! Especially during the outtakes, you just had a fun vibe going. Great video! 👍

Courtney! You are not alone, don’t be embarrassed. Thanks for being brave and sharing so others can get help with their organization. Looks great!

I keep the plastic forks, spoons and knife in my van glove box . You never realized how often you might need them

Declutter and organization... my all time favorite thing to do. So when I see spaces that look like this I fall in love. 😂😂😂😍

If you have a local Buy Nothing group, that would be a great way to easily get rid of those items. Also, a shelter or food kitchen could make good use.

When I grow up I really want to be like you! (I’m 57 so I’m not holding my breath!) I absolutely loved watching you organize everything. If you are ever in Alabama, I would definitely let you help me out!! ❤
