My headlights are angry. I thought angry headlights were dumb and there to help market the car as "tough and/or aggressive". Then I drove it at night and realized my angry headlights were designed that way so they didn't shine into the eyes or rear-view mirrors of other drivers. There's this stark horizontal delineation between "lit up" near the ground and "still nighttime" up above. My angry headlights are actually polite headlights.

Let's just have a minute and celebrate the fact, that this generation is light, small, not turbocharged, still 2 liters, still manual, you can still turn the ESP off. These are gigantic achievements in this day and age.

The thing is, it's pretty slow for a sports car, but it's not that slow for a car. I mean 0-60 ~6 seconds, top about 130 - for most of automotive history pretty quick, and not terrible today, all the better price, economy, and handling considered.

Mr regular I just wanted to say thank you. After watching your video on the original NA Miata so long ago, you made me consider getting a Miata for my first car.
I've always liked cars but have never really been sure of what I wanted. Plus, since I was paying for it myself, I couldn't afford a brand new sports car. However, last week I test drove an NC and holy shit I was sold the minute I put it in gear and took off. Coming from my dad's old 2004 civic, I've never had more fun driving a car in my life. I mean my god this thing is just pure JOY. I wouldn't have looked twice at one had your videos not sparked an interest in me. Proud to be a Miata owner!!
